Nashville

 Say what she is still alive?! Yeah I am! I didn't purposely take a break, I just kind of forgot about it...

My summer was GREAT! It all started with a trip to Nashville with my grandma. My grandma started this thing when one of her grandchildren turn 16 they get a trip to any location of their choice. I know I could have gone to somewhere cool like Italy or Australia, but I chose Nashville for a reason. It was CMA Fest when we went. CMA Fest is a country music festival that just involves all the concerts you can imagine, and 80% of them are FREE!!! Two words every music lover hears, free concerts. I think we got to see about 40 different acts and I got to meet quite a few of them.

Our first stop though was New Orleans. My grandma and myself wanted to check out the place so we took a little road.

My favourite part of the whole New Orleans trip was the buildings. All of them were so beautiful!

Our first day in Nashville was quite crazy. We went to the CMT Award Show! It was my first award show so I was SO excited. But before any awards, there is a red carpet. We waited out in the sun and heat for 8 hours just to see these stars for like 1 minute. It may sound not fun, but I think it was so worth it. That is Old Dominion.

The awesome thing about getting to the red carpet early is that you get to be near the front. That is how far away I was from the one and only LUKE BRYAN! 

Maren Morris, Keith Urban, and Brett Eldredge kicked off the show with Keith's song Wasted Time

I got to meet our very own Albertan country singer Brett Kissel. He was my favourite people to meet because he talked to everyone like they were the only people there. I think our conversation was a good 8 minutes.

One of my favourite free shows was Eric Paslay's. He was just so good live and I just couldn't stop dancing and singing.

High Valley

On Sunday morning we saw David Crowder

I got to meet Maddie & Tae. Tae made my day by gushing over my nails. I never felt so cool as right then.

Sunday night was one of the best nights EVER! I got to go see the big show which involved Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge, Little Big Town, Keith Urban, and Luke Bryan. I walked into Nissan Stadium, which is where it was, and got all teary eyed because it was going to be a one of a kind night.

My awesome grandma sat outside with everyone's purses because you weren't aloud to bring your purse inside the stadium. She sat out there for 5 hours! She is too awesome!!!

So that my Nashville trip and just the beginning of my summer. I started writing this post with the intention of talking about my whole summer... oh well another time.

Peter Pan

Howdy y'all. How are you doing this Friday? Excited for the weekend? I am so busy today and tomorrow I am almost dreading it even though all of the stuff I am going to is going to be so much fun.
Have any of you ever heard of Kelsea Ballerini? She is one of the new country artist that are all coming out at once and making it huge. Her debut single was 'Love Me Like You Mean It' and it went number 1. Something that has not happened to females in country music since Carrie Underwood with 'Jesus Take The Wheel'. Kelsea is in the country music genre, but she sounds more like pop. Because she plays on my radio though, I fell in love with her music. Her second single was 'Dibs' which went number 1 as well and in my opinion was better than her first. And now, if I have my facts right, her next single is going to be 'Peter Pan'. This song, I can't even begin to explain it. I love it so much that is brought tears to my eyes the first time I hear it. No, I did not cry but my eyes got wet. I have never been in a relationship before, but I love songs about them. Mostly songs about break-ups are my favorite. This is a break-up song. It has the mournful sound to it of loneliness which I love because it sounds beautiful, I have mixed emotions with songs like this. Please give it a listen.

1 Day To CHRISTMAS

Christmas is tomorrow! Like, this is really happening wow. I am excited in case you couldn't tell. You guys only get one more song, that is kind of sad.

We started this countdown with him, we will end this countdown with him. Merry Christmas Baby is just a fun song it makes you want to dance. Hunter of course has to show off his guitar skills which always blow my mind.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Yes, that is what today is called in case some of you didn't know. Actually that is just what it is called in our house.

What Christmas Means To Me is just a fun song, it gets you in the mood for Christmas. Brett Eldredge who is singing it is such a great singer and he just rocks this song. I hope you all like it!

The first official day of winter. That means we are one day closer to spring.

Oh hey it is the shortest day of the year today. It seems like we just had the longest one not too long ago. Time flies but, at least they will start to get longer again now!

Now this performance just gives you chills. I was almost crying by the end. Dan and Shay just totally nailed it! So if you want a good cry or just a great song, listen to this.

So today was different. I wanted to get this post on early today but, stuff comes up. I now am finally going to get to it!

On This Winter's Night is a song written by Lady Antebellum. I absolutely love it. It is just so pretty and Christmasy, you will get it when you listen to it. If you don't own their Christmas album I suggest you buy it, so worth it!

7 Days To Christmas

ONE WEEK TODAY IS CHRISTMAS! Wow! Tonight at our church is the Christmas play, Sunday I am doing worship for church, then before I know it, Christmas.

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen is another great older one and Rascal Flatts does a good job at it. I love how it just points right to Jesus. Because that is what this great holiday is all about. What a precious gift we got.
Give it  a listen, make sure you get ready for Christmas because it is coming quick, and stay warm.

8 Days To Christmas

I just noticed that I totally messed up on my other post! It is now 8 days until Christmas. Sorry, that is what happens when you are homeschooled.

 

What Child Is This is like my favorite original Christmas song. Brad does it so good and I just love it. I don't know if you have all noticed or not but so far my songs have been by only country stars and I am planning to keep it that way.

9 Days To Christmas

It is only eight days until Christmas now! I still need to buy presents for my parents, uh oh. It doesn't help when they are my ride everywhere.

10 Days to Christmas

Are you all almost ready for Christmas? It is coming up so quick like, just slow down time!
This idea just came to me which is annoying because I should have started 3 days ago. So you all know about the 12 days to Christmas giveaways and stuff like that. Well, how about I do a song countdown? If you answered yes to that good because that is what I am doing, if you said no, I am sorry but that is what I am doing.
The first song I chose comes from the one and only, Hunter Hayes. If you haven't heard about him yet from reading my blog you need to read closer.

 

Thank you to the person you video taped this. It is such good quality. Even though I hate this song, I can't help but love this version because Hunter sang it. Hunter definitely needs to make a Christmas CD because that would just be awesome.

Give it a listen unless you don't like Hunter which should be a crime but everyone to their own opinions.
